Saturday Nov.17th--"They All Matter" Lets find the Cure blog hop

Welcome to The Cancer Awareness Blog Hop. The name for the hop is going to be
"They All Matter" Lets Find The Cure

Thank you for joining us today for this wonderful hop! We would all love to find a cure for every cancer!  If you have come from   Lluvia~ http://sweetbirdmemories.blogspot.com you are in the right spot.  Our hop starts with Lisa ~ http://honeybearzdesigns2011.blogspot.com/
The cancer I chose to do for the Hop is Kidney Cancer.
It will be 3 years this December that my Mom lost her battle with kidney cancer.
It started for her with back pain.  She cleaned houses for a living and just thought her back was out of place.  She went to a chiropractor, they did x-rays and that was when it was discovered that she had kidney cancer.  She had surgery and did pretty well for a few years.  It started to spread thoughout her body and 3 years ago she passed away.
She was a great cook, loved to garden, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.  She is greatly missed every day!
I chose to make a layout in Honor of my Mom.  Her favorite Psalm is "Be still and know that I am God."  I was very happy that I was able to find a stamp with her favorite saying.

Thank you for joining us today!!  ~~Christina~~

Next stop on the hop is Pam L ~ http://mzlavr2.blogspot.com/

Creative Kuts Design Team Post Thursday Nov. 15th

A chill is in the air! Our weather in the area I live in has gotten colder!! I have been in the mood for stuffing, Turkey, and Cranberry sauce!! I can’t wait for Thanksgiving! All those wonderful smells, watching the parade! I love this time of year!

I decided to make place card settings for my post for today!
I started with the Creative Kuts file Guess-Whos coming to dinner.
The file prints off in a 8 1/2 x 11 form. I decided to shrink the file so I could cut the turkey out smaller. I used a font on my computer for the lettering, and some fall fibers that I had in my crafting stash.

I also printed it in it’s original format to make a scrapbook page of it too. We have relatives coming from out of town for Thanksgiving and I want to take some pictures.

There is a sale going on now at Creative Kuts! 80% off retiring Cuts, also check out the Creative Kuts 2 store sale: Spend $10 or more at the CK2 Store and get HALF OFF your entire order!!! Use Code ~ FALL
There are also some great new files! To go straight to the new files click on this link: http://www.creativekuts.com/Whats-New_c14.htm
There are also some great 3-D files on our sister site: http://www.creativekuts2.com/
Don’t forget about the Creative Kuts Monthly Kit Klub : http://www.creativekutsmkk.com/

My Cricut Craft Room Scrapbook Friday-Oct.26th--Frankenstein

                                                       Happy Frighenting Friday!

Today's Theme that I chose for my scrapbook page was Frankenstein at  My Cricut Craft Room
                                            http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

I love to make Halloween pages.  Halloween will be here before you know it!  We are planning to carve pumpkins this weekend.  We usually wait because the weather around are area can change quickly.  It was 80 degrees just two days ago, and yesterday was 41 degrees.  We don't want our pumpkins rotting before Halloween. (been there and done that before)

I used the Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge for the page:

Creative Kuts Design Team Post--Tuesday Oct.23rd

Hello!!  So glad you could come by my blog today!

I love a good sleep over!! I loved hosting sleep overs for my daughter!! Now she is a teenager and just has friends over without my help!

I used the slumber party file to create this invitation. I added a back to the sleeping bag and just used adhesive down the sides only.  Next I cut a tag that would slide in and out.  I stamped Time, Place, Date, RSVP.  This is such a cute file! Aren't kids so cute when they are sleeping!! Here is a picture of the invitation:

A close up of the sleeping cutie!

Our family Loves the Goosebumps series of books and we also watch reruns of the TV show! I really wanted to make a scrapbook page that looked like one of the book covers.  So I chose the following book:
I chose this because I knew I could easily find the elements I needed to make the page.  Although there are a lot of other scarier books! We loved the Choose your scare books the most!
Here is my scrapbook page:

My Cricut Craft Room My Imagine-ation Monday Oct.15th--CCR Cart

I love that the Cricut Craft Room has free images to use from different cartridges!   The one I chose today to use is the Barack Obama, and Mitt Romney free (for a limited time) images.  I thought it was very cool and would make a great smash book page.

This is the first time that I have seen an image to cut out of the President and knew that I had to do it before it is no longer available!  To use this image you must have the Cricut Craft Room downloaded on your computer.  Although I am not sure how long it will be there so if you want to use it I suggest you do it soon!  Here is the link to the Cricut Craft Room:  http://www.cricut.com/craftroom

Cut it free for a week Oct. 10- Oct. 17th is 3-D bows!! Here is the link to the information: http://www.cricut.com/free-images   This is really cool too!!  They would make great bows for your Holiday/Birthday presents!!

On to my project... I have a really difficut time with finding paper to match skin tones so I use white cardstock and markers to color in the facial features I also used a white gell pen.

I also used Cricut Classic Font's Cartridge for "Election 2012"
Make sure to stop by My Cricut Craft Room's Blog:  http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com to check out all the other projects from our amazing Design Team!  Thanks for coming by!!

My Cricut Craft Room's Theme Day Thursday Oct.11th

It's Thursday!!  Yesterday was my son's 18th Birthday!  He had to work so tonight we are having his Birthday Dinner.  I love to make all of my children's Birthday's special by letting them choose their dinner for the night.  He chose a "Spooky  Halloween Theme" for dinner.

Well on to my post for today!!  It is Theme day Thursday today.   I chose Fall flowers for my project.

I used the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge to make my fall flowers.  Mums are my favorite fall flower!  I love the burgandy, orange, and purple mums!

I created 3 different sizes of mums in each of my favorite colors.  I think I am going to use them to decorate the cover of my smash book. Don't forget to stop by http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com to see all the other great projects by the Design Team!!

I have made so many presents with this!!), and Hello Kitty Greetings for the Lantern.  I used Pumpkin Carving Cricut cartridge for the card.

For my last project I used Ornamental Iron Cricut cartridge to make this Halloween card:

Thurs. Oct. 4th--Creative Kuts Design Team Post

Hope you are having a Spooktacular day!!  I created something creepy for this fantastically creepy month!   I started with the "Lil Monsters" file that you can find at the Creative Kuts store here:
 http://www.creativekuts.com/Lil-Monsters-LM913.htm

This is just one of the great images that come with this file. I made a Frankenstein card last week with the other image. This week I made a Mummy card. There are also 3 sayings that go with this file.

I searched and searched for my cheese cloth to do this project and couldn't find it!  So I had to improvise and use some material that I ripped into strips and then distressed them with ink.  I wrapped them around the front of the card.  I used red stickles for the eyes.  I used the other silhouette of the mummy and stamped a creepy spider and Happy Fright Night.  I attached the arms and the back of the card with brads and hid them under his wrap.  This was a fun card to do!

My Cricut Craft Room Scrapbook Friday Sept. 28th--Fall Recipes

Welcome to my blog!  It is Scrapbook Friday at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

I have a lot of recipes that I use in the fall.  The one that is our family's favorite is popcorn balls!

My husband's grandma has made popcorn balls for years and we have carried on the tradition! Using her recipe of course!  It just isn't fall if we haven't made popcorn balls at least twice! (usually it is more than that!)

I used my gypsy and Printing Press Cricut Cartridge.  I searched and searched for a picture of the popcorn balls that we make every year.. I couldn't believe that I didn't have a single one!! So my page does not have a picture, but I am going to fix that this year! I'm going to make sure that we have one! I think that I might even try to make my kids their own cook books with our favorite family recipes!

I cut "popcorn balls" wording from printing press.  I added our original recipe too. I will have to make a nicer looking copy of it!  I left room for a picture which I will add later.

Cupcake Wars Blog Hop!

now if I knew how to do a link for this to go right to my blog, I"d be all set... LOL

Welcome to Cupcake Wars! No bloodshed here, just plenty of sugar! If you didn't start at Janet's blog: http://janetscreativeworld.blogspot.com/ please do so! She's giving away a Cricut Lite Cartridge-Cupcake! How sweet is that?
We don't want you to miss any of the scrumptious projects and some have even left recipes f...
or you to try! As we head into the holiday season, you might just have a new family favorite!

You should have come from: Ashley - http://thebloghopprincess.blogspot.com I'm so glad you're here now, so check out my project and what I cooked up for you!

We love brownies at our house so I decided that I wanted to make mini brownie "cupcakes"
here is the picture of the indredients:

This is something that is "homemade" with ingredients you might have on hand.  I used a brownie mix following the directions on it.  I also use my secret ingredient " 2 Tablespoons of Hershey's syrup (or any store brand chocolate syrup) added to the brownie mix.
Next I grease the mini cupcake tin and fill them about 3/4 full.  Bake them at 325 for about 7 minutes, check them and then about 3-5 more minutes depending on how fast your oven cooks.
I cool them on a rack with waxed paper:
After they cool I use a piping bag with a tip (if you don't have this you can use a ziplock bagie and cut the corner off)  swirl on the frosting and add my sprinkles.
My kids LOVE these!!
Here is a picture of a cupcake card I made that would be great to giveaway with these yummy brownie bites!

                                                               ~~Christina~~

From here you should head over to Pam - http://mzlavr2.blogspot.com/
If you get lost, head back to Janet's, Janet- http://janetscreativeworld.blogspot.com/

Thanks for stopping by! Now on to more yummy ideas!

My Cricut Craft Room Scrapbook Friday Sept. 21st-- Cute Critters

Welcome back to another Scrapbook Friday!  I love these days!!  I am trying so hard to get my 3 kids' scrapbooks up to date!!  So today I decided to scrap Halloween 2008... I know I know it is 2012.  I am WAY behind!

I used Hello Kitty Greetings, Doodle Charms, and 3 Birds on Parade Cricut Cartridges for today's scrapbook page.  I love Halloween!  I created the spider from Doodle Charms and my Gypsy.  I used the Hide feature to hide the mouth and eyes so I could add google eyes and a stickles smile.  Now my other two cuts I used were from a swap that I was in. They did not have the name of the person who created them or I would post that.  The Bat is from Hello Kitty Greetings and the Dracula Bird is from 3 Birds on Parade.  Both are super cute!!

If you are new to my blog I love simple layouts! I'm not saying that I wouldn't make something fancy or WOW! I just like to make sure I can add lots of pictures to my pages.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!  Don't forget to check out the other great Cute Critter scrapbook pages at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com
