Organize this mess Blog Hop

Organize this Mess.....we look at our creative space and just wonder where we put that tape runner that we had just used two weeks ago, past Tuesday, of the 3rd of the month. We know that feeling oh soooooo well!!!! I pride myself in my organized "clutter"! Wouldn't it be wonderful to know where everything is and that there is a place for everything and everything in its place!!!!

That's what this hop is hoping to do! Trying to give helpful hints on storage, clever ways to keep things and just organize the mess!!!!!!

There is a very creative cluttered group to help us along this path. We hope you can find the time to organize and hop along with us while we "declutter" along the way!!!! Of course there will be some blog candy to add to "your" organized clutter if you comment along the way and don't miss a single blog!

If you just happened to be visiting me today, I am ever so glad, but don't want you to miss an organized stop. So please start at the beginning, at Nikki's. She's going to give us a jump start on cleaning this mess! If you have arrived from Lisa ~ http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/  then you are more organized than I am!

My Craft room was a complete mess!!  Before I knew about this blog hop I cleaned and organized my craft room, so I didn't take any before pictures.  My tip for today is that I used a book shelf, and old entertainment center that a friend of mine was giving away to organize my area.  I placed all  my stamps in the drawers in the entertainment center and in the side cabinet I put my magazines.  On the book shelf I put my cricut cartridges and my printer.  Here are the pictures of after:
Here is a picture of my desk area

Now, that I have given you a way to get organized, let me send you on your way to Anita ~ http://www.anitaandbugs.blogspot.com to give some more helpful hints and tips to organize this mess!                                  ~~CHRISTINA~~

My Cricut Craft Room's Scrapbook Friday~~Notions/Brads/Eyelets

Woo Hoo today is Friday!!  I am so very glad Friday is here at last!!  Today is Scrapbook Friday at My Cricut Craftroom.  I chose to use the theme of Notions/Brads/Eyelets.

I used brads, Martha Stewart's Seasonal Cake Art Cricut  Cartridge, black/white/ & blue cardstock, and blue stickles.

I have created a page for my Son's graduation.  I cut the banner from Martha Stewart's Seasonal Cake Art cartridge at 3" I had to cut it out 3 times.  I hand wrote "Congrats" and then used blue stickles over the top.  I cut some frames and made this page very simple.  Since it is for my Son he doesn't like frilly.  I made it to go with another page that is complete.

                                                             Here are both pages together
Don't forget to visit the other Design Team Members blogs today! More great projects at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

Walt Disney's Animated Movies :Sleeping Beauty Blog Hop - April 20

Welcome to Walt Disney's Animated Movies Blog Hop!!! What makes this hop phenomenal as in no other hop is that every Friday, we will be paying tribute to different movies SOOOO, you will need to mark you calendars for every Friday for these special blog hops:

April 20: Sleeping Beauty
April 27: Tinker Bell

Today, we are celebrating all those cute characters that come alive on the screen. If you just happened to visit me today, I wouldn't want you to miss one chime of the clock and would want you to start with Lisa at http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com/. You are at the right spot!!!!

My project today is a photo holder.  I really love to make these.  They make great gifts! I used the Happily Ever After Cricut cartridge.  I cut Arora out at 3 1/2".  I really hate to use the small cut pieces for the eyes so I used a pen and some stickles, I also used stickles on the mouth.  I first cover my large clothes pin with decorative paper.  I use a pop dot on the back of Arora and fibers to give it an extra touch! Seeping Beauty has always been my favorite Disney Princess tale! I love the Fairy's who watch over her!

                                                            ~CHRISTINA~

There is a great line-up today for the hop and I wouldn't want you to miss a single spot:

Sleeping Beauty Lineup:

You are probably wondering if there is going to be a prize for this hop. There is. It will be a Disney animated movie but Lisa will reveal as to which movie it is going to be at a later time. To be eligible for this prize, you have to follow my blog and everyone else's blog that is in this hop. You also must leave me and the other wonderful ladies a comment in order to qualify for the prize. The grand prize will be awarded at the end of this month. You get one entry for each of the 4 blog hops during the series of Walt Disney Animated Movies Blog Hops during each of the Friday's in the month of April. So if you just choose one of the Fridays to attend, you would only get one entry but if you choose to attend all four hops during the month of April, you get a bonus entry since you came to all four hops, then you will receive 4 + 1 entries, which makes your chance of winning the movie go up with each entry.

Lisa will be giving away this awsome prize so make sure to check her blog for the winner! http://handmadewithlove-lisa.blogspot.com

Thanks for stopping by today and visiting and checking out my project, I now must send you on your way but watch out for the evil characters that stand in the way of happiness for our heros as I send you on to ...Lynne: http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/   Please stop back again real soon for another great project.

My Cricut Craft Room's Scrapbook Friday! Halloween

                                                             Happy Friday the 13th!!

I can't believe it is already Friday again!! That means it is scrapbook Friday at My Cricut Craft Room! I decided to use the Halloween theme for my scrapbook page.
I am creating something special for my BFF and today's layout is part of that creation!

I was lucky enough to be a part of a swap in October and I received some wonderful pieces.  Today I used two of those cuts for the layout.  The "Trick or Treat"  came from the Cricut Celebrate with Flourish Cartridge.  The Ghost came from the Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge.

I made a really simple page with my BFF's dog who passed away a  year ago this month!  I am trying to create a book for her.  Jasmine was a big part of her and her children's life.  She was also my daughter in law! (according to our children since she married our dog max in a ceremony the girls put together a long time ago!)

sweet Jasmine in her "witchy" costume!

Thanks for taking a look at my blog today! Don't forget to stop by the rest of the Design Team members blogs to see what they have created!  Start at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

Scrappy EMT Design Team: Weekly post Gardening

Hi!! Today's Theme at Scrappy EMT is Gardening!  I decided to use Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge for this scrapbook page.

I cut the Wheel Barrel out at 3", and the sun at 2 1/2".  I like to save cards that I get that have cute 3-d items on them.  The flowers in the wheel barrel are from a card that I got from my birthday.  I thought it would look great on this project!

Thanks for stopping by!  Please make sure to visit the other Design Team member's great gardening projects!  http://scrappyemt.blogspot.com

Winners will be announced on her blog on Tuesday!

For my first project today I used the Hello Kitty Greetings, and Martha Stewart's Seasonal Cake Art Cricut cartridges, my Gypsy, Expression, black, white, red & purple cardstock and my pink stickles.
First I used the Gypsy to weld the two Hello Kity Graduation Kitty's together and cut them out of black cardstock their height was a little over 4".  Next, I cut all the other pieces out.  I cut an extra Kitty out of white cardstock to put inside my card to add a greeting later. For the Graduation cap I used the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art cartridge cut at 2" and placed a small pop dot on it. Stickles on the nose.
Here is a picture of the inside of the card.
A picture of the outside of the card.

For my next project I used Disney's Best of Pixar Cricut cartridge.  I took a clear plastic frame and cut a mat out and placed it inside the frame.  Next I cut Nemo at 3". I also cut the bubbles out of vellum & made a treasure chest.  I stuck it down to the frame with glue dots.  I made this frame for my son so when we go to see the newly remodled aquarium at the zoo.  I am really excited to see the all new aquarium!  We so love the zoo!!

I decided the treasure chest was too much so I took it off.

My Cricut Craftroom Theme Day Thursday-- Forever Young Cricut Cartridge

Happy Thursday!  Today is Theme Day Thursday at My Cricut Craftroom! I know that I usually post on Scrapbook Friday's but today's Theme I couldn't pass up!  It is one of my favorite cartridges: Forever Young!

Today I created a purse that I am going to put candy in.  I used the Forever Young Cricut cartridge, patterned cardstock, stickles and a pre-made flower.
I cut the purse at fit to page which ended up being 4" on my Expression.  I then cut the inside pieces out of yellow cardstock and glued them to the inside.  Next I taped the box together and added my stickles to the sun glasses.  I added velcro to the flap on the purse and on the outside I glued a pre-made flower that I won.

I really do love this cartridge and use it quite a lot.  Usually I use the "Girl" images so today I thought I would make a purse.  Here is a picure of my finished project:

My Cricut Craftroom-- Scrapbook Friday!!

It's...... Scrapbook Friday at My Cricut Craft Room!  Today I made an Easter cut for my scrapbook page!
A few years back my daughter got a pair of bunny ears at Easter time.  We took a picture of everyone including our dog with the ears.   So I made a scrapbook page for that picture... Do you think I could find the picture when I was done with the page?  Not a chance!! So disappointed!!  I do love how the page turned out though!!
I used Paper Pups for the "dog in rabbit ears" and the "Yappy Easter".  I used Mickey & Friends to cut the grass.  I had to cut it 4 times to fit on the bottom of the page.  I used sticker Easter eggs hidden in the grass.
Don't forget to stop by http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com to see the other great scrapbook pages today!!  Thanks for visiting!!!                ~Christina~

How I got into Cricut!!

I would love to win the Cricut Circle Cartridge Sophie! So here is how I got into using the Cricut! Please scroll down to the end of my post to see how you could have a chance to win the Sophie cartridge!

I have to say that I really am so happy that I have my Cricut machines!  I have to start at the beginning of my crafting so please bear with me!!

My mother encouraged me to start scrapbooking when my two oldest children were little.  I told her that I really didn't have time with the kids being so close in age.  She told me that I needed to make time, that they would grow up so fast and this way I could go back in time and remember all the fun things we did.

Of course my mother won and we started crafting/scrapbooking together!  We would make our own paper piecings by hand!

Then I discovered the Cricut on a commercial.... Had to have it!  It was the first machine that Cricut had made.  I had only used it a few times, couldn't quite get the hang of it... So I didn't use it for awhile.

Then the Expression came out... I thought, boy I would really love to get one that was my favorite color green and could cut larger things!! My husband said, you have the little one already and don't need another one!! I looked up a few videos that explained how to use the Cricut and I loved the fact that the Expression had a screen so I could see what I was cutting!!  I had gotten some money for my birthday and decided to get it.

So glad I did!!  I absolutely love the Expression!! I have made so many things with it! I still have my little bug.  Told my husband I would sell it but can't quite seem to part with it!!  Now that I have gotten better with using my Cricut I have been able to use my little bug too!!

I  would love to hear your stories on how you got started with the Cricut!!
Make sure to blog your story and up load it to My Cricut Craft Room's blog for a chance to win a Cricut Circle Cartridge exclusive  Sophie! here is the link:    http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/2012/03/how-did-you-get-into-cricut.html

Friday March 23-My Cricut Craft Room Scrapbook Friday--Kids

Today is Scrapbook Friday at My Cricut Craft Room.  Most of you know that today is my favorite day to post!! I love to make scrapbook pages!!  Today's theme is a good one for me to get more pages made for my children.. My son, who is 4, went fishing for the first time with his dad and sister. So this page is for those pictures.

I used the Play Time, and Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridges.  I also used blue vellum, blue, brown, yellow, green, and orange cardstock.  I also used some stickles and my Peachy Keen stamps.
I cut the boy <Billy> out of the Play Time cartridge at 4", and the Sun at 3" from Pooh & Friends.
I tore the "hill" out of brown cardstock, and the "water" out of blue vellum and added stickles to the vellum.  I added stickles to the fish.

Scrappy EMT Design Team: Altered project

PhotobucketHi!! I decided today that I would not use my cricut for this project.  Although I LOVE my Cricut machine I wanted to use some things I had around my scrapbook room.  I started with this pink heart box:
It is a really cute box, I  just want to be able to use it again.

I used some papers from DCWV Then Crafty Stack, wire ribbon, and a flower that I had in my crafting supplies, & brown stamping craft ink.  I covered the box, used the wire ribbon around it.  Some of the paper didn't cover a little of the box so I used the craft ink to go around thoses edges.  Stuck the flower on top!  I didn't have brown paint to use inside the box, so I will get some and paint the inside of the box.  Stop by http://scrappyemt.blogspot.com to see more altered projects.  Thanks for stopping by!

Scrappy EMT Design team project **Beauty**

PhotobucketToday I created an 8 x 8 scrapbook page for my Daughter.  She loves to get pedicures and manicures!

I used the Sentimentals, Elegant Edges, & Forever Young Cricut cartridges for this page...
For the hand I used the Sentimental cartridge  cut at 4", for the nail polish I used the Forever Young cartridge cut at 3", and for the background I used the Elegant Edges cartridge <swirl2> cut at 6".
I also used a rub on "beauty", and ooh la la is a stamp I used. I added stickles to the fingers for polish, and the middle of the flower.

Close up of the hand and polish

Thanks for visiting my blog!! Please tell me what you think! I'd love to know!!  Don't forget to visit the Scrappy EMT blog: http://scrappyemt.blogspot.com to check out the other design team members projects!

My Cricut Craft Room-- Theme Day Thursday--Tags,Bags,Boxes & More 2

****FOR MY GUEST DESIGNER POST FOR CRAFTY & GREEN PLEASE SCROLL DOWN****

Hi!! I was very excited when I got this cartridge!! I haven't been able to craft with it much yet because I have been cleaning and rearranging my craft room!  I do plan on making a great box with this cartridge soon!  Today I used the tag feature to put on my BFF's Birthday present.  Her Birthday is in May, but I am trying to make something special for her.  It is taking a little time to do it..  This tag is on the last page of TBB&M 2.  She love butterflies so this was perfect!

I used the DCWV giltter Sweet stack, purple cardstock, crystal & lavender stickers, and some fibers from my stash.  I cut the first cut twice.  Once with the patterned cardstock and one with the purple cardstock.  I did that because I wanted the extra butterfly to add to my tag.  I added crystal & lavender stickles to make it pop.  Thanks for stopping by to take a look!  Please visit the other design team members posts for other great projects  http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com !!                                                ~Christina~
