My Cricut Craft Room--Scrapbook Friday--ICON
It is Scrapbook Friday at My Cricut Craft Room. Today's theme that I used is Icon.
My daughter went to Disney and I want to make her an 8 x 8 album to put all her favorite pictures in.
I used the Mickey & Friends Cricut cartridge to make this page. I also used a flower from a flower swap that I was in.
I cut the Mickey from page 28 at 5". The bow icon from page 42 at 3". The word "Minnie" from page 38 at 3".
Thanks for taking a look at my project!! Please make sure to visit the other great scrapbook pages from the other Design Team members! http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

Thursday February 16--Theme Day: Formal Occasions Cricut cartridge

Happy Thursday everyone!
Today is Theme Day Thursday at My Cricut Craft Room. I decided to use the Formal Occasions cartridge for my project. I also used Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake art cricut cartridge, a bottle of soap, navy, white, & orange vinyl, and some ribbon.
I have really liked using this idea to make gifts for my friends! You can do almost anything you want with it!
I cut the flower out of the Formal Occasions cartridge at 2", the "love" out of the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake art cartridge at 1". Then I tied on the ribbon. Thanks for taking a look at my project! Don't forget to visit the other Design Team members projects at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com .

Sweets for the Sweets
For today's project I used Cindy Loo cricut cartridge, new blue fuzzy socks, a circle punch, red cardstock, & red fibers. I made a "cup cake".
I didn't have any cartridges that would make a cupcake wrapper so I used the popcorn box from the Cindy Loo cartridge I cut it at fit to page. Then I rolled the socks and used little clear rubber bands around the top and bottom to hold them together. I used my circle cutter to cut a red circle then glued fibers to it to look like a cherry. Be sure to leave a comment at each hop stop to show all the participants a little love.
This is a two-day blog hop. Today is day 2!
I really like to make gifts, but I want them to be functional. So around the Holiday's I saw an idea on either Facebook or the Cricut message board. I can't remeber which one. I tried to find the person who had this idea but could not. So if you posted a similar idea using a winter/Christmas theme please leave me your web address so I can give credit where credit was due! I loved the idea and thought it would be cute for any season for a little gift!
I purchased the soap bottles at Sam's. I cut the lips & the word "smack" from the Indie Art cartridge on my gypsy with navy vinyl. I used the Cake Basics cricut cartridge to cut the heart border out of white vinyl. I used some ribbon with wire for the top. I really like how it turned out!
Thanks for stopping back today to see my project!! Hope you like and and can use the idea yourself with your own spin on it!!

This is a two-day blog hop. So, please be sure to stop by tomorrow also!
Today's project I created a tag to go with a gift I made. I will show the gift in tomorrow's post.
I used some patterned heart paper, a heart die cut, some rub on's and ribbon.
I traced the tag on the patterned paper and cut it out. Next I used rub on's (the pattern in the heart and the word Love) on the die cut heart. I used pop dots to make it stand out.

Thursday Feburary 9th--Theme: Bling

Today's Theme is Bling at My Cricut Craft Room! Now I have had my eye on the I-Rock and had a coupon and decided to purchase it. I really love it!! Today's project I made a gift bag for a friend at work. I used the Forever Young cricut cartridge (which is one of my favorites!), the I-Rock & jewels, a Stampin Up! stamp, and one of my already made flowers. Some peanut butter M&M's which are my friend's favorite!
I cut the purse out with fit to page. Then I used the Stampin Up! stamp for my design. Next I added my bling (before I put the purse together). Then I put the purse together and added the flower last. She really liked the purse. (and the M&M's)
The Bling!
The flower!

Would you ever guess Wednesday--Use a Martha Stewart Cartridge

Happy Wednesday!! Today is Would You Ever Guess Wednesday at My Cricut Craft Room! Today I chose to use a Martha Stewart Cartridge. I chose Martha Stewart Seasonal Cakes. It is the only Martha Stewart cartridge that I own. Honestly it is the first time I have used it!! I bought it because my son Graduates this year and he wants me to make his cake it has a Graduation hat on the cartridge.
I made a card today! Since Valentine's Day is coming up I decided to make a Valentine's Day card. I also used various cardstock, ribbon, and a pop dot. The sentiment stamp is from Stampin Up! and so is the ink. I cut the hearts out at 2 3/4". I chose these hearts because I wanted to layer it and I liked the look of the heart that looks like lace. Thanks for stoping by! Please visit http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com to check out the other Design Team's projects.

Scrapbook Friday-- using Purple!

Friday is one of my favorite days at My Cricut Craftroom!! It's Scrapbook Friday!! I love to make scrapbook pages!! I also love to see what kind of great scrapbook page ideas the rest of the design team has!!
Today I made an 8 x 8 scrapbook page. I used a sheet of paper from DCWV the Crafty Stack, and some purple shiny paper from my stash and some patterned mulberry paper, gold stickles & a sentiment rub on. I used the Fancy Frames and Sentimentals Cricut Cartridges.
I cut the butterfly out of the Sentimentals cartridge at 2 1/2". I cut the shadow shapes first and traced it onto the mulberry paper. I tried to cut the mulberry paper with the cricut.. Disaster! So I scraped that idea. Next I cut out the rest of the butterfly and stuck the mulberry paper wings onto the butterfly and added gold stickles to the body. I cut the frame out at 3 1/2" and stuck it down, then added my rub on sentiment.
Hope you like how it turned out! Please make sure to visit the other design team members blogs and see what great projects they have made!! http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

January 19th--Valentine's Cuts
Today's project I used the Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge. I saw the little dog cut with the heart over the eye and new I just had to use it! I wanted to make some treat bags for my son's class and thought this cut would be great for it! I cut the puppy's out at 3 1/2". I struggled to find in my stash of cardstock some printed paper that looked like fur! (note to self look for paper that looks like fur the next time you are at a craft store!!) I also used some fibers and ribbon to make collars for the puppies and some google eyes.
Sorry the lighting in my house is horrible for pictures especially at night!
I then decided I wanted to try making my own wobble card. I made the wobble by using my circle punch and some wire and tape.
Next I attached it to one of my pups and covered a card with some striped paper. Added a sentiment from Stampin Up!
Sorry for the bad lighting and picture!
The video on how to make your own wobbles is on youtube. It took a few tries but I think it looks pretty cute!
Please make sure to visit the other Design Team members projects at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com There are some really great ideas for Valentine's Day!
