T-shirt project using Life's a Beach cricut cartridge

Hi! Hope everyone has had a great summer!! I can't believe it is almost over! I register the kids for school on Monday!!  My daughter had a friend of hers spend a couple of weeks with us.  Here is a project we did.

First we started with a clean white t-shirt.
Next we cut our design (the cute octopus using Life's a Beach cartridge) out of contact paper using the Kiss cut method.
Then removed the design from the mat carefully, and placed it on the t-shirt.
We then mist the shirt with spray fabric paint that we purchased from Hobby Lobby.
Let the shirt completely dry, then remove the contact paper design from the shirt....

Then we had a really cute design on our shirt!!  This method is called reverse stenciling.  The idea came from an issue of family fun magazine. I altered the idea a little by using my Cricut instead of drawing out my stencil on the contact paper.  A fun easy project! I think we are going to do this in the fall for a cute  Halloween t-shirt or sweatshirt! A great idea that you can do with your children!

Pictures below are of this project!

Thanks for viewing my blog!!  Christina :)

Create a critter challenge from http://queenofmycraftroom.blogspot.com/

I used Create a Critter and Graphically Speaking cartridges, cardstock from Archiver's, the printed paper I cannot remember where I got it ( I only had a little piece left), fibers for his nose, and stickles for his mouth & eyes. The wording is attached to a clear plastic picture frame.
