How I got into Cricut!!
I would love to win the Cricut Circle Cartridge Sophie! So here is how I got into using the Cricut! Please scroll down to the end of my post to see how you could have a chance to win the Sophie cartridge!
I have to say that I really am so happy that I have my Cricut machines! I have to start at the beginning of my crafting so please bear with me!!
My mother encouraged me to start scrapbooking when my two oldest children were little. I told her that I really didn't have time with the kids being so close in age. She told me that I needed to make time, that they would grow up so fast and this way I could go back in time and remember all the fun things we did.
Of course my mother won and we started crafting/scrapbooking together! We would make our own paper piecings by hand!
Then I discovered the Cricut on a commercial.... Had to have it! It was the first machine that Cricut had made. I had only used it a few times, couldn't quite get the hang of it... So I didn't use it for awhile.
Then the Expression came out... I thought, boy I would really love to get one that was my favorite color green and could cut larger things!! My husband said, you have the little one already and don't need another one!! I looked up a few videos that explained how to use the Cricut and I loved the fact that the Expression had a screen so I could see what I was cutting!! I had gotten some money for my birthday and decided to get it.
So glad I did!! I absolutely love the Expression!! I have made so many things with it! I still have my little bug. Told my husband I would sell it but can't quite seem to part with it!! Now that I have gotten better with using my Cricut I have been able to use my little bug too!!
I would love to hear your stories on how you got started with the Cricut!!

Friday March 23-My Cricut Craft Room Scrapbook Friday--Kids
Today is Scrapbook Friday at My Cricut Craft Room. Most of you know that today is my favorite day to post!! I love to make scrapbook pages!! Today's theme is a good one for me to get more pages made for my children.. My son, who is 4, went fishing for the first time with his dad and sister. So this page is for those pictures.
I used the Play Time, and Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridges. I also used blue vellum, blue, brown, yellow, green, and orange cardstock. I also used some stickles and my Peachy Keen stamps.
I cut the boy <Billy> out of the Play Time cartridge at 4", and the Sun at 3" from Pooh & Friends.
I tore the "hill" out of brown cardstock, and the "water" out of blue vellum and added stickles to the vellum. I added stickles to the fish.

Scrappy EMT Design Team: Altered project
Hi!! I decided today that I would not use my cricut for this project. Although I LOVE my Cricut machine I wanted to use some things I had around my scrapbook room. I started with this pink heart box:
It is a really cute box, I just want to be able to use it again.
I used some papers from DCWV Then Crafty Stack, wire ribbon, and a flower that I had in my crafting supplies, & brown stamping craft ink. I covered the box, used the wire ribbon around it. Some of the paper didn't cover a little of the box so I used the craft ink to go around thoses edges. Stuck the flower on top! I didn't have brown paint to use inside the box, so I will get some and paint the inside of the box. Stop by http://scrappyemt.blogspot.com to see more altered projects. Thanks for stopping by!

Scrappy EMT Design team project **Beauty**
Today I created an 8 x 8 scrapbook page for my Daughter. She loves to get pedicures and manicures!
I used the Sentimentals, Elegant Edges, & Forever Young Cricut cartridges for this page...
For the hand I used the Sentimental cartridge cut at 4", for the nail polish I used the Forever Young cartridge cut at 3", and for the background I used the Elegant Edges cartridge <swirl2> cut at 6".
I also used a rub on "beauty", and ooh la la is a stamp I used. I added stickles to the fingers for polish, and the middle of the flower.
Thanks for visiting my blog!! Please tell me what you think! I'd love to know!! Don't forget to visit the Scrappy EMT blog: http://scrappyemt.blogspot.com to check out the other design team members projects!
